Mission
The Michigan Recreation and Park Association Foundation is committed to enhancing quality of life experiences for all people by supporting community enrichment, research, advocacy, natural resources, and professional development of park and recreation professionals, students, and citizen advocates.
The Foundation provides funding in three primary areas:
Access for All
Increased access to recreation and the outdoors for people of all ages and all abilities through funding for adaptive equipment and innovative projects.
Leadership Development
Opportunities for education, professional development for recreation professionals, and scholarships for those intending to enter the parks and recreation profession.
Vision and Recognition
Recognition for outstanding communities, and parks and recreation professionals through support of the Hall of Fame and Accessible by Design awards.
